She nails it with her ongoing project <a href="http://www.viktoriart.com/?page_id=19" title="Anna and Eve">Anna & Eve</a> that she started in 2005. Although she’s more established than emerging I’ve also been looking at <a href="http://www.tate.org.uk/art/artists/rineke-dijkstra-2666" title="Rineke Djikstra">Rineke Djikstra</a>’s portraiture which has inspired me to try my hand at portraits.</p> <p>JC: Whats your current project all about?</p> <p>EE: I always have several projects going. Right now the main ones are: a black and white film project documenting all the tiny trinkets that i’ve collected since a young age, arranged in scenes that come from different memories in my childhood; black and white film portrait series using some double exposure and the idea of movie stills, its still in a nebulous phase; the constant documenting of public city and state parks on black and white film; and a color polaroid project playing with double exposures, residential architecture, and the faceless man that pops up throughout.</p> <p>JC: Where are you currently living and how is it shaping you?</p> <p>EE: I live in Seattle, WA on Capitol Hill. Almost all my photos are taken within a mile radius of my apartment. I love where I live, its an incredibly photogenic area and endlessly inspiring so it makes being constantly productive a breeze.</p> <p>JC: One piece of advice to recent photography graduates?</p> <p>EE: Obviously just take photos constantly even if they are directionless and learn how to network like a pro (and then tell me how, seriously).</p> <p>JC: Any big plans for the rest of 2012?</p> <p>EE: My big plans for the rest of 2012 include learning my way around a synthesizer and making music, learn how to network, working on photo projects, reading all about my family history and preparing for a photo trip to Scotland where my Dad’s (and part of my Mom’s) family is from. Once there I will find the castle that was once owned by some ancestors and create some sort of photographic journal/story/something of my Scottish/Irish heritage.</p> <p>JC: Favourite tree?</p>
